Facilities

The NCPS Brisbane campus is brand new. It offers state-of-the-art facilities and services, including a course-specific library, extensive computer lab with laptop ports, wireless network and backup service. There are also fully equipped, ultra-modern lecture rooms, and wireless broadband internet throughout the campus.

Transport

Brisbane is an easy city to navigate and is well serviced by buses, trains and ferries. It’s relatively flat, which makes it ideal for cycling. In fact, the city has over 500kms of bicycle paths and the trains and buses are bicycle-friendly. Cost of living

Brisbane might be Australia’s fastest growing city but it is still one of the most affordable. Depending on your lifestyle and where you choose to live, you can expect to spend around AU$12,000 - $15,000 a year on living expenses (not including tuition fees).

Climate

Brisbane has a humid, sub-tropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. Summer runs from December to February with average maximum temperatures reaching around 29C. The winter months – June/July/August – see average minimum temperatures drop to around 10C. However, average maximum temperatures for winter are around 21C. Thunderstorms are common from late spring through to early autumn, and rainfall is moderate.

Brisbane prides itself on its cultural heritage and it’s not uncommon to see festivals and events being held across the city and outer lying areas on a regular basis.
