The Navitas College of Public Safety — Melbourne campus, is located within the city's central business district, making it easy to get to by public transport. The campus has parking facilities onsite if you prefer to drive, and the famous Queen Victoria Markets, as well as shops, restaurants, cafes and bars are all within walking distance. Facilities

The NCPS Melbourne campus is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art educational facility. It features 10 teaching rooms, student lounge, a course-specific library, a well-equipped IT lab, and wireless, broadband internet throughout the campus.

Transport

Melbourne has an excellent public transport system, consisting of trains, trams, ferries and buses. Most services run from early morning to midnight, 7 days a week. There is a free city circle tram service that departs every 12 minutes so you can move around the city easily. The NightRider bus will get you home after midnight on weekends. NCPS does not have it's own on-campus student accommodation but its central location means accommodation is close at hand. Whether you choose to stay in the city or further afield, there are plenty of options to choose from.

Cost of living

For an international city, Melbourne is surprisingly affordable. Low-cost public transport helps keep day-to-day living expenses down. Depending on your lifestyle and where you choose to live, you can expect to spend around AU$12,000 - $20,000 a year on living expenses (not including tuition fees).

Climate

Melbourne has a temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters. Summer runs from December to February with average maximum temperatures reaching around 26C. The winter months – June/July/August – see average minimum temperatures drop to around 6C. Melbourne’s weather can be unpredictable, and in winter it’s not uncommon to experience fogs and frosts in outer lying suburbs.
