Overseas Student Health Cover, OSHC, Student Visa Application, NCPS

If you’re an overseas student planning on studying in Australia, you’ll need to take out Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). It’s a condition of your student visa and will give you and your dependants access to out-of-hospital and in-hospital medical services while you’re studying.

Worldcare can provide your OSHC, and can help arrange your initial payment and renewal fees for you. For more information, visit www.oshcworldcare.com.au

Student Health Cover for AusAID Students

If you are a student sponsored by AusAID, you will not need to pay the OSHC, but you will need to provide proof that AusAID supports your application.

Norwegian and Swedish students

If you’re Norwegian or Swedish you may not need OSHC because your countries have arrangements that provide acceptable health insurance for you while you are overseas.

For the OSHC requirement to be waived, Norwegian students should have documentation proving that they are covered by the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme. Swedish students should have proof that they have insurance provided by CSN International (the Swedish National Board of Student Aid).
