Orientation

Orientation is about providing you with useful information and advice on how to make a smooth transition to NCPS. Through a series of activities and programs we’ll:

  • introduce you to key personnel.
  • let you know of your rights and responsibilities.
  • provide you with an understanding of the program curriculum, what you’ll study, our approach to teaching, and how you’ll be assessed.
  • help you meet other students and introduce you to staff.
  • let you know what assistance and support is available.
  • give you information about services, facilities and resources available.
  • attend workshops in the Skill Foundation Program, which will set you up for future study.

Please note: Attendance at Orientation is compulsory for all new students.

Student and Staff Consultative Committee

The Student and Staff Consultative Committee (SSCC) provides a consultative forum for staff and students to:

  • identify and resolve issues likely to impact the quality of learning.
  • review the effectiveness of the higher education courses.

  • contribute to the continual quality improvement of courses.

Any enrolled student is eligible to become a member and elections are held in February, with nominated representatives holding office for the period of one academic year.
